Activate by using the Internet: After you install Microsoft Office for Mac 2011, you are prompted to enter your product key. The Microsoft Office Setup Assistant automatically contacts the Microsoft licensing servers through your Internet connection. If you use a valid product key, your product is activated immediately.
Activate by using the telephone: If the Microsoft Office Setup Assistant cannot activate Office for Mac by using the Internet and you see a message that online activation was unsuccessful, click Activate By Phone. To activate the product with the help of a customer service representative, find your location in the pop-up menu and call one of the phone numbers provided. Telephone activation might take longer than activation through the Internet.
